The following membership grade depicts the designator letters that can be used after the name based on the membership approval membership. Based on the individual innovative knowledge, professional skills, academic exposure, credentials, approved Technical qualifications, Training, well experience, dissertation, project, scientific research papers, active participation towards seminar, reviewer, editorial board member, leadership & responsibility,  distinguished and eminent personality, speaker, dedicated extraordinary service, excellence in specialization, sustained accomplishment, practice, initiative and achievement.​​​​​

 

Membership Fee Structure – 2026​

 

The Indian Society of Civil Engineers® (ISCivilE) is a professional body committed to promoting quality, technical excellence, ethical practices, and professional standards in the field of Civil Engineering. The Society offers various grades of membership to students, academicians, researchers, engineers, industry professionals, and institutions.​

Student Membership is intended for students pursuing Diploma, Undergraduate (UG), and Postgraduate (PG) programmes in Engineering and Technology disciplines. This membership category encourages students to engage in professional activities, technical learning, and academic development at an early stage of their career. The approved membership fee for Student Membership is Rs. 500/-.

Affiliate Membership (AFF.ISCivilE) is offered to individuals who are interested in engineering activities, technical interaction, and professional networking through the Society. This category is suitable for individuals who wish to associate with the engineering community and participate in Society initiatives. The approved membership fee for Affiliate Membership is Rs. 1,000/-.

​

Associate Membership (AISCivilE) is designed for graduates, young professionals, and technical staff associated with engineering and allied disciplines. This membership provides professional recognition and opportunities for technical collaboration and career development. The approved membership fee for Associate Membership is Rs. 2,000/-.

Associate Member (AMISCivilE) membership is granted to professionals possessing recognized academic qualifications along with relevant industrial, research, or teaching experience in engineering and allied disciplines. This category recognizes professional competency, academic contribution, and technical involvement in the engineering sector. The approved membership fee for Associate Member grade is Rs. 10,000/-.

Member (MISCivilE) membership is intended for experienced engineering professionals who have demonstrated significant professional contribution, technical expertise, and commitment towards the advancement of engineering standards and practices. This grade reflects professional recognition and active engagement within the engineering community. The approved membership fee for Member grade is Rs. 15,000/-.

Senior Member (SMISCivilE) membership is awarded to qualified professionals who possess recognized academic credentials along with substantial professional, industrial, teaching, research, or administrative experience in Civil Engineering and allied disciplines. This prestigious membership grade recognizes individuals who have demonstrated professional excellence, technical competency, ethical standards, and meaningful contribution towards the advancement of engineering education, research, industry, and professional practice. Senior Members are acknowledged as experienced professionals committed to promoting quality and standards in Civil Engineering through active participation in academic, technical, and professional development activities of the Society. The approved lifetime membership fee for the Senior Member (SMISCivilE) grade is Rs. 20,000/-.

Fellow (FISCivilE) membership is awarded to distinguished professionals who have made outstanding contributions to Civil Engineering, technical education, research, industry, or professional development activities. This prestigious grade recognizes exceptional achievement, leadership, and dedication to the engineering profession. The approved membership fee for Fellow grade is Rs. 25,000/-.

Senior Fellow (SFISCivilE) is the highest category of professional recognition offered by the Indian Society of Civil Engineers to senior experts, academicians, researchers, consultants, and industry leaders who possess exceptional professional experience and have rendered distinguished service to the engineering profession and society. This prestigious membership reflects leadership, technical excellence, and long-standing contribution to the advancement of Civil Engineering. The approved membership fee for Senior Fellow grade is Rs. 25,000/-.

Honorary Fellow (Hon. ISCivilE) is a special recognition conferred by invitation only upon eminent personalities who have made extraordinary contributions to engineering, education, scientific research, industry, administration, or society at large. This honor is awarded by the Executive Council in recognition of exceptional achievements and distinguished public or professional service. No membership fee is applicable for this category.

Patron & Institutional Membership (5 Years) is offered to educational institutions, industries, corporate organizations, research centers, professional bodies, and technical organizations seeking institutional association with the Indian Society of Civil Engineers®. This membership category promotes academic collaboration, professional networking, industrial interaction, technical development activities, and institutional recognition through the Society. The approved membership fee for Patron & Institutional Membership is Rs. 1,00,000/- for a period of five years.
